Life Management I
This introductory course guides students to explore their many resources in learning how to manage their life. They will discover how to be good consumers and make wise purchases; have instruction in basic food preparation and nutrition, and discover how to manage personal financial matters concerning budgets, checking and saving accounts, debit and credit cards. Units on family relations and child development are also included. Students will have the opportunity to construct a useful project using the sewing machine and learn how to maintain their clothing.
****A student may take Introduction to Culinary arts and International Foods to be a CTE Completer.
A career and technical education completer is a student who completes a CTE concentration or specialization and meets all high school graduation or GED requirements. A concentration is a coherent sequence of courses (courses totaling 2 credits) completed by a student in a specific career area.
