Welcome to the home of the Geckos! My name is Lisa Molinaro, and I am the assistant principal here at Greer Elementary. I have been on the staff at Greer since 1997. I have taught every grade but kindergarten, and second, and am proud to say that my own children attended this wonderful school. I have a background in both regular and special education, and received my master’s degree in administration from the University of Virginia. I am beginning my 23rd year in education.
I love the diversity that exist in our school, and look forward to coming to work each and every day. The amazing spirit of our students and the professionalism of our staff make working at Greer an absolute pleasure. I have always seen myself as a life-long learner, and value the new learning that occurs when I spend time with our students. I believe, as stated in our Albemarle County Strategic Plan, that our young people deserve the best we have to offer. Each child is capable and has the right to safety, mutual respect, and the opportunity to learn.
It is our responsibility, and privilege, to provide your children with a learning environment that provides rigor, relevance and relationships. We welcome you to our school where we are committed to assuring that all students can learn and succeed! I look forward to meeting all of you as we move throughout the school year and look forward to working together to make sure our children have a successful school career. Please know that my door is always open, and I encourage you to drop in and visit our wonderful school, where you will find our students engaged in their learning. |
