WAHS Hosts Mock Statewide Election as Seniors Create Candidate Campaigns

  Western Albemarle High School Seniors Host

Mock Gubernatorial and Statewide Election, Run Candidate Campaigns

 

 

WHAT:     Western Albemarle High School's Annual Mock Election


WHEN:     Tuesday, October 27 - Wednesday October 28

  9:00 a.m. - 3:45 p.m.


WHERE:     Western Albemarle High School, New Gym

 

WHO:   Western Albemarle High School seniors

HOW:   Western Albemarle 's annual mock election of the statewide candidates will be taking place Tuesday and Wednesday of this week (Oct. 27-28).  Seniors in Government classes have researched the candidates for the Virginia gubernatorial, lieutenant governor and attorney general's races.  Based on their research, students have created posters, brochures and commercials highlighting their candidate.  Underclassmen will visit these campaign booths before they vote in the Youth Leadership Initiative's mock election.
