AHS Class of 1967

(Pictures and videos of Charlottesville from 60-s and 70's, detailed article about Mr. Hurt and desegregation, forum about old hangouts in Charlottesville, etc., and a copy of the "last Will and Testament."

Mark October 9, 2010 on your calendar! We are celebrating our 40th and inviting the Classes of '67, '68, '69, '71 and '72 to join us. We are in the planning stages and need lots of help on the Committee!
The Class of 1970 now has it's own website, www.albemarle70.com. Please join and update your contact information. Albemarle70 is reunion central so check in often to find information about the reunion and about each other!
You can also contact Karen Viar at kaviark@aol.com or at 434-987-3916. We are committed to finding all of our classmates. So please help by emailing if you have any information on missing classmates. If you have not yet received a mailing then we are missing your address. In an effort to frustrate spammers who use software to search the internet for e-mail address, the e-mail address has replaced the "@" with the phrase "[at symbol]." You will need to type the "@" to make the address work.

AHS CLASS OF 1989
Hello classmates! Hopefully by now most of you have received a mailing from Great Reunions about our 20th reunion on Saturday, October 17th. If you haven't gotten anything in the mail, that means we don't have your current address!! Please send addresses to albemarle89@yahoo.com.
We are going to have a Homecoming weekend full of fun events - the highlight being the big dinner and dance at the Holiday Inn on 29 on the 17th at 8:00 pm. Please go to www.greatreunions.com/reunions/school/home/index.cfm?Reunion=5757
and purchase your tickets now.
You can also submit your information online for the Bio-book, which will be distributed free to all classmates who attend the reunion. There is no cost to submit your information, and if you are unable to attend Bio-books can be purchased separately for $20 from Great Reunions.
We will start off the fun on Friday, October 16th with a tailgate at the AHS Homecoming football game. Light snacks and beverages (non-alcoholic!) will be provided. We will let you know the time once we confirm the starting time of the game. We will finish off the weekend with a family picnic on Sunday the 19th from 12-3 at the Elks Lodge, catered by the Korner restaurant. We'll have BBQ and hot dogs and all the fixin's. And the picnic is free for adults if you purchase a ticket to the Saturday night event! Otherwise it is $15 for adults and $10 for kids over 5.

Reunion Update
September 22, 2007: Tailgate starts at 10:00 am! We will have a spot set up in the Fontaine Research Park parking lot Look for AHS colored balloons and old classmates! Get there early for parking and bring a fold up chair. Food and beverages will be provided. Even if you cannot attend the game, please come by with your families to share the tailga te experience. Game starts at 12:00 pm. Tickets can be scalped for anyone planning to come last minute. There should be plenty on the way to the stadium. Spread the word! *See directions below.
Later that evening, we plan to meet at Rapture on the downtown mall around 9:00 pm. We can hop around from there.
Brunch at Bodo's Preston Avenue Sunday at 11:00 am with families!
*Take the Fountaine exit from 29 south. Head towards UVA. First right hand turn you come to is the Research Park. See everyone there!
