AHS Class of 1967
The AHS class of 1967 will be having our 40th reunion the weekend of October 19th, 2007. We are planning on tailgating at the football game on Friday night with this being Homecoming! Mourns the passing of a former classmate, Peggy Abbott
ABBOTT, Peggy Ann, was born in Mt. Kisco, N.Y. on May 23, 1953, the eldest
daughter of Herbert and Edna Abbott. With family at her side, she passed
peacefully on Tuesday evening. Left to cherish her memory are her siblings,
Ted Abbott of Redwood City, Calif., Ginny A. Little (Larry) of Chesterfield,
Va., Barbara A. Buchanan (Lee) of Oakton, Va., and Bruce Abbott of Richmond,
Va. She will also be remembered by her nephews and nieces, Steven Little of
Brooklyn, N.Y., Christy Little of Richmond, Va., Bruce Abbott, Jr. of
Wasilla, Alaska, and Lauren Horcsik of Wasilla, Alaska. Also treasuring her
memory is her significant other of over 25 years, Keith McAlpine. The family
wishes to express their appreciation to the staff and residents of the
Virginia Home for the loving care they have provided in these last years.

30th class reunion for AHS-WAHS 1978 in being organized for August 8, 9, and 10 of 2008. Class of 1979
The AHS Class of 1979 will have it's 30th reunion July 18-19 2009. There will be a social gathering at Cheeseburger in Paradise, 1101 Seminole Trail Friday night, July 17, during the evening hours.
There will be a dinner dance at Fry's Springs Beach Club 2512 Jefferson Park Avenue, Saturday July 18th from 6:30 to 11:00PM. Sunday there will be a picnic at Penn Park from 1:00PM to 5:00PM.
The cost is $50 a person, $90 a couple. Children are $10 to attend the picnic.

AHS CLASS OF 1989
Hello classmates! Hopefully by now most of you have received a mailing from Great Reunions about our 20th reunion on Saturday, October 17th. If you haven't gotten anything in the mail, that means we don't have your current address!! Please send addresses to albemarle89@yahoo.com.
We are going to have a Homecoming weekend full of fun events - the highlight being the big dinner and dance at the Holiday Inn on 29 on the 17th at 8:00 pm. Please go to www.greatreunions.com/reunions/school/home/index.cfm?Reunion=5757
and purchase your tickets now.
You can also submit your information online for the Bio-book, which will be distributed free to all classmates who attend the reunion. There is no cost to submit your information, and if you are unable to attend Bio-books can be purchased separately for $20 from Great Reunions.
We will start off the fun on Friday, October 16th with a tailgate at the AHS Homecoming football game. Light snacks and beverages (non-alcoholic!) will be provided. We will let you know the time once we confirm the starting time of the game. We will finish off the weekend with a family picnic on Sunday the 19th from 12-3 at the Elks Lodge, catered by the Korner restaurant. We'll have BBQ and hot dogs and all the fixin's. And the picnic is free for adults if you purchase a ticket to the Saturday night event! Otherwise it is $15 for adults and $10 for kids over 5.

I would like to start spreading the word about an awesome 20 year reunion for the class of 1994. I would like to co-chair with anyone interested in helping create an entire weekend of events for a reunion during the summer/fall of 2014.

Saturday, October 21, Pen Park picnic from 1-4, food and drinks will be provided. Cost will be $25 per each adult, children are free. In other words, any spouses, friends, boyfriends, girlfriends are an additional $25!! I just want to make sure that part is clear...Checks can be made payable to me, Jamison Darden, with Class of 1996 reunion IN THE MEMO (sorry, working at a bank, I have to reiterate that that needs to be in the memo and not who the check is made payable to...), need to be received by October 1, and mailed to PO Box 534, Stuarts Draft, VA 24477. Any questions and RSVPs can be sent to patriots_1996@yahoo.com . There will still be a designated happy hour spot afterwards, but that detail probably won't be finalized for a little while and I want to make sure as much info gets out there as possible. Reunion Update
September 22, 2007: Tailgate starts at 10:00 am! We will have a spot set up in the Fontaine Research Park parking lot Look for AHS colored balloons and old classmates! Get there early for parking and bring a fold up chair. Food and beverages will be provided. Even if you cannot attend the game, please come by with your families to share the tailga te experience. Game starts at 12:00 pm. Tickets can be scalped for anyone planning to come last minute. There should be plenty on the way to the stadium. Spread the word! *See directions below.
Later that evening, we plan to meet at Rapture on the downtown mall around 9:00 pm. We can hop around from there.
Brunch at Bodo's Preston Avenue Sunday at 11:00 am with families!
*Take the Fountaine exit from 29 south. Head towards UVA. First right hand turn you come to is the Research Park. See everyone there!
