Hellofrom your Librarian, Mrs. Techman. This is my 9th year at Broadus Wood. I am a Teacher/Librarian, as well as the Tech Lead teacher for our school. I'm also the Webpage Coordinator. This year, I'm planning some fun learning projects for all grade levels.

Before I came to Virginia, I was a Children's Librarian at HoustonPublic Library. I was born in Kenya and came to America when I wasfour. Being a librarian is the perfect job for me, since I love booksand learning new things. I also really like people, especially children.
The Broadus Wood Library is open from 7:45 - 3:00 onschool days. Classes come once a week for Library Lesson Time. Lessonsfollow a special curriculum, incorporating:

• Information Literacy Standards,
• SOLs,
• Albemarle County Library Curriculum
• the Big 6 research Process
• classroom skills and topics.

The library is also open for individuals or small groups to check out books or do research (See link for Schedule).
