2009 Albemarle County Adult Ed GED Graduates!

CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR LOCAL GED GRADUATES!
On Wednesday, October 21 we celebrated GED graduates from across Central Virginia, including several Albemarle County Adult Education students.  We are so proud of their accomplishments and wish them the best of luck!

October 19-23, 2009 was GED and Life Long Learning Awareness Week in Virginia.  The need for Adult Education, nation-wide, continues to grow, and we are proud to partner with the Virginia Workforce Center, as well as other local Adult Education programs in Central Virginia to educate our community about this increasing need.

For over 30 years Albemarle County's Office of Adult, Migrant and Homeless Education has provided instructional services to adult residents of Central Virginia. Our affordable services help adults improve their basic skills, prepare for and take the GED exam, learn English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) and learn basic computer skills.

Additionally, Albemarle County Adult Education offers Workplace Training, Citizenship and Business classes, Migrant and Homeless Education and other services as needed.  Our services are open to all residents of Central Virginia and are not limited to residents of Albemarle County.

We believe that Learning is Lifelong - it is NEVER too late to further your education and become a successful employee, parent and member of the community.
