Welcome to the MLS Library Media Center Web Page! 

My name is Erica Payne I am so excited to be the new Media Specialist!  I hope to get to know your children throughout the school year. 

I have a BA in Literature and Communications from Pace University in Pleasantville, NY.  I have a Masters in Library Science from Queens College in Flushing, NY.  I have also taken a variety of graduate classes in Instructional Technology at both Pace University and Wayne State University in Detroit, MI.  I enjoy working with technology and hope to begin some interesting projects with the children soon.

This is my ninth year working as a Media Specialist.  I worked at the high school level for three years in New York and the elementary level for five years in Michigan.  The MLS Media Center is a beautiful space and I hope to continue the wonderful work being done there.

I grew up in Westchester County, NY but have lived in Michigan and Massachusetts as well.  I have lived in Charlottesville for two years and am enjoying the area very much.  I have two children, Rebecca and Amanda.  Here is a picture of Rebecca and me taken at her 4th birthday party!
