Thanks to the BAMA Works Fund at the Charlottesville Area Community Foundation for support of Families in Crisis. Womenade The Womenade fundraiser was held March 19, 2006 at Monticello High School. The event raised well over $8,000 for the Families in Crisis Program. Dr. Patricia Popp from Project Hope, Office of Virginia Homeless Education, shared information about the issue of homelessness in our community. Attendees enjoyed a special performance by Terri Allard as well as artwork by Nancy Galloway and Monticello and Albemarle High School art students. Since December 2005, Families in Crisis has given away over $7,000 in gift certificates and thousands of dollars worth Money can help in hard times and so can a sympathetic ear or a helping hand.
