Tienen un gran verano!

What do Woodbrook staff members do over the summer?  Thirty one teachers and staff are learning Spanish through a grant called "Bridging the Language Gap" in which Spanish is learned, through immersion via Rosetta Stone software, and then used as a collaborative manner in which to grow professionally.  We look forward to better communicating with the school community, growing as a staff, and expanding our own horizons in this "flat" world.  This year-long initiative began the week after school and will include conversational dinners and community events as a way to grow together.

Mr. Gordon, standing between his custodial colleagues, bids farewell to Woodbrook School.  Mr. Gordon has been with Albemarle County for 31 years.  His jovial smile will be sorely missed around Woodbrook School... but we might catch him fishing at the local rivers and lakes!

Thank YOU, Woodbrook School Volunteers!

Woodbrook honors all volunteers on Wednesday, June 3 with a volunteer brunch in the school library media center.  We appreciate your willingness to support our students and our school events.

The Woodbrook Steppers performed for their peers in early April and they are looking forward to the Dogwood Parade on April 25.  The young students have learned how to step in the after school program, EDGE, under the guidance of Mrs. Magruder.
