On May 6th two of Stone-Robinson's teachers were honored by Phi Delta Kappa at the annual awards banquet.  Catherine Brown was named the Outstanding First Year Teacher award and Jeanne Derry was recognized as an Outstanding Elementary School Teacher. Congratulations to both.

Third grade teacher Joseph Hicks has been selected as one of eight educators statewide to recieve the Virginia Lottery Super Teacher Award!

Joseph Hicks received the award in a surprise presentation at his school on April 22, 2009.  The award, sponsored by the Virginia Lottery, the Virginia PTA, and Virginia-based The Supply Room Companies, consists of a cash prize of $2,000 and an additional $2,000 classroom credit from The Supply Room Companies.
