1. The Guidance Office will call to reschedule any 9th grade registration meetings missed due to snow closings. If school is on a 2-hour delay, meetings  between 9 - 11 AM will be rescheduled. The meetings scheduled between 11 AM and 4 PM will meet as planned.  We are sorry for this inconvenience.

2. The curriculum fair at Albemarle High School for rising 9^th graders has been moved from February 11^th to February 18^th due to the number of snow days. This will allow the high school electives to have time to prepare for the event. Please make a note that the curriculum fair will start at 6:00 PM at AHS on Thursday, February 18^th. 8^th graders who are interested in learning more about 9^th grade elective offerings at the high school should plan on attending.  

3. In light of the gorgeous weather we've been enjoying, our Box Tops collection date is extended to February 19th.  Students should turn their Box Tops into their Block One teacher. We'll announce our winner shortly after all classes have turned in their final collections - the class with the most Box Tops will enjoy a Pizza Party! 4. Our annual Carnival will be on Feb 26th this year.  To make this successful we need many volunteers.  I have had several responses and filled many slots but am still in need of a few more people.  This is a great time to grab a friend and spend some time together while helping out the school. Areas needing volunteers:  Ticket sales, Games, Concessions, Security Stations, and the Dance. Shift hours are:  5:30-7; 7-8:30; or 8:30-10. This is a wonderful way to get involved and give the kids a really fun night.  Please, Please, Please consider giving us a helping hand.  We need your help. If you can help, please contact Michelle Caldwell at wcaldw5050@aol.com .

5. All District Honors Choir participants should look at the classroom calendar on the Choral/Drama page for pre-event rehearsal times and dates.

6. A registration sheet has been posted regarding this year's Cultural Celebration. We are looking for volunteers and participants willing to donate their time or talent to help coordinate or sponsor an event, share their performing talents through stories, music or multimedia presentations, or showcase samples of art from their homelands illustrating unique heritage and cultural beliefs.
