Parents of 8th Graders …
The date has been set for the 8th grade recognition and dance. It will be June 11 starting at 6:30 P.M. (students will need to arrive at 6:00) in the Burley auditorium. The dance will follow in the cafeteria and will start around 8:00 and will end at 10:00. The dress code for this event is nice church type clothes. A$10 contribution (or more) from you per 8th grade child will help cover the cost of a DJ, decorations, food and beverages. You may send in your *tax deductible* donation check addressed to the JP Burley PTO via backpack mail, mail a donation to the school, or drop off your donation at the school office. Any money leftover will be kept in the PTO account to benefit the school and children at a later date. Note that there is *no charge for admission* at the door and *every * 8th grade student is invited and encouraged to attend. The dance is a wonderful event that serves as an important social transition between middle and high school. If any parent would like to help with food for this event, please contact Cydney Simko at cydsimko@yhoo.com. Please remember that there is a large parking lot behind the school that often goes unused during school events. |
