Welcome to Mr. Brown's Web Page

I am a Virginia native who has been teaching in the Charlottesville area for 15 years. I have worked many summers in the construction and automotive fields. I graduated from Miami University (go Redhawks!) in 1982 and spent 13 years in the Marine Corps as a helicopter pilot. I graduated from the Masters program at Old Dominion University in 1995 and began teaching at Charlottesville High. I came to Monticello in 2004 and have loved teaching here ever since! My wife and I have three college age kids, and one surprise, Luke, who is 5. My hobbies include surfing (in the ocean, not the web), snowboarding, tinkering with automotive classics and building/construction projects. I hope to instill in my students the understanding and desire to be a lifelong learner. Ask what's new in our Technology Education classes at MHS! Hint: Think college credit. There is also a "Smart Money Management" class where you will learn to budget, invest, save, file taxes, and play the stock market!""

One of my favorite places!
